AV team
The audio/visual team serves as the production and support crew for the presentation track rooms. They manage lighting, sound, and streaming. They ensure presenters' systems connect to in-house systems for projection and sound. They monitor sound and lighting levels as needed. They operate the online streaming system, which produces the live stream as well as the in-room projector view. AV team members are given the training and support needed to become familiar with the systems and to run them successfully.

Emcees
Emcees function as stage managers for each of the three speaker track rooms. They greet the presenters, ensure their needs for audio/video are met (in cooperation with the AV team), and take the stage to make any announcements and then introduce the presentation. Emcees ensure everything starts and ends on time, including giving 5, 3, 1, "stop" countdowns to presenters.

Info desk
The HOPE Information Desk is centrally located in the Marillac Terrace. Info desk volunteers help attendees with questions of all types. They also help new volunteers find tasks of interest. The info desk staffs the online helpdesk and ensures queries are triaged and responded to.

Network operations
The network team operates the network operations center (NOC) and keeps an eye out for any network problems. They prepare the HOPE network infrastructure before the event starts, and disassemble things at the end. They assist attendees with their wifi setup if needed. The network team leaders interface with the venue's network team as needed.

Online team
The online team has a broad set of duties. They manage and oversee the online chat system, including assisting attendees having difficulty getting connected. They keep an eye on the conference websites, and escalate any issues if needed. They monitor the live streams of the speaker tracks. They respond to inquiries that come in via the info desk, email, or helpdesk system and route them appropriately.

Registration team
The registration desk team is the helpful group that confirms tickets and issues badges.

Security
The HOPE Security team keeps an eye on the space and attendees to ensure a safe environment for all. Security ensures everyone has their admission badge before being in the conference space. Security co-manages incidents with Operation Hammond (the wellness and code of conduct team) as well as the venue's public safety team.

Setup and tear down
Preparation for HOPE, and clean-up afterwards, includes signage, moving tables and chairs, assembling and disassembling equipment, helping vendors and others set up their spaces, and more.

Workshop helpers
Workshop helpers assist workshop presenters to get their workshop set up and started, and may also be asked by the presenters to stay and help during the workshop.
